Careers
Europe
Careers Europe is the UK National
Resource for Vocational Guidance and is the UK partner in the EuroGuidance
network. It acts as a national resource centre for careers advisers,
personal advisers, careers teachers and other professionals on mobility
in Europe.
Careers Europe supplies a variety of information
materials and services to careers services, connexions services,
schools, higher and further education institutions, public libraries
and other information and advice centres. Members of the public
can access Careers Europe's services free of charge through these
intermediary organisations.
The Careers Europe website contains useful

that can offer further help and advice.
Their
website can be found at: http://www.careerseurope.co.uk
EURES
The
EURES (European Employment Services) network links employment services
between individual member states (plus Norway and Iceland) and acts
as an international recruitment service. Furthermore, EURES has
developed two databases: one covering job information in the Member
States and the other providing general advice on living and working
conditions. This information is available by contacting Euro-Advisers.
Their website can be found at: http://europa.eu.int/jobs/eures
Overseas
Job Search
Individuals
seeking employment overseas may contact a local Employment Centre
and ask for an "Overseas Job Search". This query would
then be processed at the Overseas Placement Unit in Sheffield and
then returned to the Employment Centre. Alternatively, jobseekers
may wish to contact Sheffield directly on 0114 259 6051.
Other
sources of information:
For
self-employed crafts and trade workers looking to work in other
EU Member States, the Certificate
of Experience Unit at the DfES may also be of some assistance.
A further method of finding EU job information
is the Overseas Job Express Newspaper (01273 699611).
